Room 014 was the first room Dominant Industry ever opened at Hotel Keyno — the pen and ink that started the whole Keyno Stay.tionery story before Serenity, before any of the rooms that followed. There's something fitting about buying them together: the beginning, as it was meant to be experienced.

This set pairs the Keyno No. 014 Cherishment fountain pen with a 25ml bottle of Keyno No. 014 Cherishment ink, both made by Dominant Industry in Paju, South Korea. The pen's ebonite feed and the ink's shading were built around each other, not matched after the fact.

The Pen

Cherishment's body is cast in Ice Crystal acrylic resin, a pale, cool pink flecked with soft light blue — no two pens look quite identical, since the resin pattern forms naturally in each piece. The design carries a quiet key-and-hotel narrative throughout: a jewel-like crown cap top, a key-shaped clip with a keyhole motif and compass symbol, and a keyhole-shaped breather hole engraved into the nib itself.

The #6 stainless steel nib, finished in rose gold, comes in Extra Fine, Fine, or Medium. Reviewers have consistently praised how smooth and wet it writes once broken in — several describe it becoming a daily-rotation pen almost immediately. Underneath sits a genuine ebonite feed, the same material prized in vintage and high-end fountain pens for superior capillary flow, delivering more ink, more consistently, than a standard plastic feed. It fills via a dedicated converter (included), and arrives in a presentation box with a matching keyring and illustrated postcard.

The Ink

Cherishment ink is a dusty rose-mauve with a distinctly cool, grey-violet undertone — closer to a faded, vintage rose than a bright candy pink. Thin strokes stay in a delicate, dreamy pale pink; the ink reads noticeably darker and more legible than most inks in its tonal family, which is exactly why it holds up for daily writing rather than just decoration.

Its real strength is shading. Cherishment shows a genuine range from light cherry-blossom pink through to a deep, rich maroon or berry-rose wherever ink pools, with a faint grey-violet edge at the darkest points — one of the more dramatic shading inks in its colour family. It dries fast (around 5 seconds on Rhodia) and shows no feathering or bleed-through on premium papers.

An ebonite feed lays down more ink, more consistently, than a plastic one — which matters enormously for a shading ink like this.
