Born in Seoul, Aimed at the Stars

Colorverse was established by a team of formulators and designers who shared both a love of writing instruments and a restless curiosity about the natural world. Seoul — a city where design culture, craft tradition, and technological precision intersect — proved the ideal home for a brand that asks as much of its chemistry as it does of its visual identity. From the beginning, Colorverse positioned itself not merely as an ink manufacturer but as a colour research studio with a narrative sensibility: every series a chapter, every bottle a specimen.

A Universe Built in Series

The Colorverse catalogue is organized into named series, each exploring a distinct corner of the cosmos. Spaceward, the debut collection, introduced twelve colours drawn from the personalities of deep space. Astrophysics followed with eight colours charged with scientific energy. Multiverse brought harmony and symmetry to the fore through six carefully paired ink sets. Later series — The Red Planet, Eye on the Universe, Trailblazer in Space — tracked humanity's relationship with space exploration, from Mars missions to the legacy of the Hubble Space Telescope.

Not every series looks outward. The Korea Special Series turns toward home, drawing on Korean landscapes, historical moments, and cultural memory to produce colours that feel both particular and universal. Limited and special editions continue to expand the catalogue in unexpected directions, ensuring that the Colorverse universe never quite stands still.

Formulated to Last

Colorverse approaches ink chemistry with the same rigour it applies to concept development. Inks are formulated with plant-origin colorants and solvents for vivid, high-purity colour with excellent solubility. Each formula is treated for hydration and antibacterial stability, maintaining an optimal pH of 7–8 to protect pen components and ensure consistent flow over time. The ink is safe for use in all fountain pens — from everyday writers to prized vintage pieces — and performs reliably across a wide range of nib sizes and paper types.

Most inks in the standard series display gentle to moderate shading, with character that deepens noticeably on wetter nibs and quality paper. The Glistening line introduces fine shimmer for writers who favour a more luminous finish.

The Two-Bottle Tradition

One of Colorverse's most recognizable signatures is the two-bottle set: a 65 ml desk bottle paired with a 15 ml companion for travel, sharing, or sampling. The bottles arrive in a constellation-decorated presentation box alongside illustrated accessories — stickers and a bookmark themed to match each ink's name and series. The teardrop-shaped bases and careful packaging make Colorverse sets among the most display-worthy in the hobby.
