Dominant Industry Standard 112 Tsavorite is a 25ml fountain pen ink from the Standard Series, made in small batches at Dominant Industry's studio in Paju, South Korea. Like all Standard Series inks, it's built for everyday fountain pen use — no shimmer particles, no special handling, safe for both fountain pens and dip pens.

The Colour

Base Tone

Tsavorite is a bright teal-green — vivid and clearly saturated, closer to a lively emerald-teal than a muted sage or forest tone. In large swabs on smooth papers like Tomoe River, the colour leans slightly greener; in ordinary handwriting, it holds a genuine blue-green balance that stays lively without tipping into neon.

Shading

Tsavorite shows medium shading, with a real tonal range visible between lighter and darker areas of a stroke — enough to add texture and interest to daily writing without requiring an especially wet pen or broad nib to show it off.

Sheen

In larger swabs and heavily saturated areas, Tsavorite reveals a subtle pink sheen — a small, unexpected flash of warmth against the cool teal base. It's understated rather than dramatic, more likely to show up in big ink samples than in everyday handwriting, but a nice surprise for anyone who takes the time to look.

Shimmer

Tsavorite has no shimmer. As a Standard Series ink, its character comes entirely from colour, shading, and that hint of pink sheen rather than added glitter particles.

Tsavorite has low water resistance and is not suited to documents requiring permanence.

Formula & Safety

A dye-based ink, pH-neutral and safe for resin and celluloid fountain pens, with a good balance of permeability and viscosity that keeps it gentle on nibs.

Paper Performance

Tsavorite performs cleanly on premium papers such as Tomoe River, Rhodia, and Leuchtturm, with no meaningful feathering or bleed-through. On standard copy paper, expect a small amount of feathering and the occasional dot of bleeding, along with moderate show-through.
