The Colour

Base Tone

Bog Sage is a pale, bright sky blue with subtle violet-blue undertones — cool, clean, and clearly on the lighter end of the blue spectrum rather than a deep or saturated tone. In large swabs, particularly on Tomoe River paper, the colour deepens slightly into a more muted blue; in ordinary handwriting, it stays close to its lighter, airier base.

Shading

Bog Sage shows low shading — present but subtle, more noticeable in large swatches than in day-to-day writing.

Sheen & Shimmer

Bog Sage has no sheen and no shimmer. Its visual character is straightforward and clean, letting the pale blue tone and the fragrance carry the ink rather than any added metallic or glitter effect.
