A Little Sheep, Spinning a Whole Year of Thread

This edition of the Jibun Techo DAYs marks 2027 as the Year of the Sheep with an exclusive illustrated cover by Japanese artist Seiji Matsumoto, known for his playful, nature-inspired character work. On a bright turquoise ground, a wide-eyed sheep sits balancing a golden ball of yarn on one paw, the thread trailing loose across the cover — a quiet, cheerful way to start the new year. It's a limited design made for this year only and won't return in future editions.

Design & Construction

The DAYs comes with a clear PVC cover; on this limited edition, the illustrated paper insert is visible through the transparent front, signed by the artist. The A5 Slim format measures 217 × 136 mm — slightly narrower than standard A5, so it sits comfortably in one hand or slips easily into a bag. Unlike earlier half-year editions, the 2027 DAYs is bound as a single one-year volume.

The 24-Hour Axis

The Kokuyo Jibun Techo DAYs is the only true daily planner in the Jibun Techo lineup — one full page for every single day of 2027, split down the middle by a central 24-hour timeline. Every page uses Kokuyo's original THIN PAPER — lightweight, resistant to show-through, and smooth even with erasable ballpoint pens. A horizontal date-and-weekday axis runs along the top of each spread, solving the classic problem of one-page-a-day planners: always knowing where you are in the week at a glance.
