Liberum Volucris Vac Titanium Fountain Pen
The Liberum Volucris Vac Titanium is a titanium pocket fountain pen with a vacuum filling system built into a body small enough for a shirt pocket. Titanium keeps it light and tough, and the vacuum filler gives it far more ink than most pens of this size can hold. It is made for anyone who wants an everyday-carry fountain pen that does not need constant refilling.
Titanium Body with a Brushed Matte Finish
The body is made from titanium with a brushed matte finish that gives a subtle, refined metallic texture. Titanium is strong for its weight and resists corrosion, so the pen stays light in the pocket and keeps its finish through everyday use. In the hand it feels light, with the cool, solid touch of metal. The cap has a clean, clipless profile that slips easily into a coat or shirt pocket.
Vacuum Filling and Ink Window
The Volucris Vac uses a true vacuum filling system, operated from the tail of the pen, to draw ink in from a bottle. A transparent ink window in the middle of the body lets you see the ink level at a glance and watch the reservoir fill. The ink capacity is generous for a pen this small, so you can carry it through the day without worrying about refills.
Nib Options and Compatibility
The pen is fitted with a #6 stainless steel nib engraved with the Liberum mark, available in Extra Fine (EF), Fine (F), Medium (M) and Broad (B). The nib unit is JoWo #6 compatible and easily removable, so you can swap nib sizes or try other JoWo #6 nib units later.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Volucris Vac Titanium small enough for a pocket?
Yes. It is built as a compact pocket fountain pen, and its clipless cap slips into a shirt or coat pocket.
How does the vacuum filling system work?
The pen stores ink directly in its transparent barrel and fills through a plunger operated from the tail, so you can see the ink level through the window.
Can I change the nib later?
Yes. The nib unit is JoWo #6 compatible and removable. Please contact us before buying a replacement unit so we can help you confirm that it fits.
Titanium or brass?
Titanium is lighter and keeps its finish. The Volucris Brass Stone Washed is heavier and develops a patina with use. Both share the same vacuum filling system.
