The Opus 88 Harmony Flower brings garden-inspired elegance to the writing desk. Its resin barrel and cap are cast in a vibrant, multi-colored blend — flecks of pink, green, white, red, blue, and yellow suspended together like petals caught mid-scatter, evoking a blooming wildflower meadow. Because of the material and casting process, each pen's pattern falls slightly differently, so the one you receive is genuinely unique. Rose gold-plated trim throughout — clip, bands, and nib — adds a warm, polished counterpoint to the color and movement of the resin.

Design & Construction

The Harmony line favors comfortable, unfussy proportions: a screw-cap resin pen built for everyday writing rather than display-only handling. Capped, the pen measures approximately 145 mm, with a body diameter of approximately 14 mm. Weight is approximately 24 g — light and well-balanced for extended writing sessions. Rose gold-plated hardware runs throughout the pen, giving it a warm, cohesive finish against the multicolor resin.

The pen ships in an Opus 88 gift box with a glass eyedropper pipette included for filling.

Eyedropper Filling System & Shut-Off Valve

Like other Opus 88 pens, the Harmony Flower uses a Japanese-style eyedropper system with an integrated shut-off valve, controlled by a center bar at the base of the barrel. Closed, the valve seals the reservoir against the ink expansion that heat and altitude can cause — useful for a pen that travels, including by air. Open, ink flows freely to the feed, drawing from a generous reservoir well suited to long, uninterrupted writing sessions.

To fill: unscrew the grip section from the barrel, use the included glass pipette to draw ink, deposit it into the barrel, and reassemble. Before writing, unscrew the blind cap to release the internal shut-off mechanism; tighten it again before travel.

Nib Options

The Harmony Flower is fitted with a rose gold-plated stainless steel JoWo nib, available in:

• Extra Fine (EF) — a precise, controlled line for small handwriting
• Fine (F) — the most versatile everyday width
• Medium (M) — broader and wetter, good for shading inks
• Broad (B) — a bold, generous line
• 1.5 mm Stub — an italic-style grind adding crisp line variation to every stroke

Opus 88 nibs tend to write slightly broader than equivalent Japanese sizes — if you usually reach for a Pilot or Sailor fine, consider sizing down one step.
