The Opus 88 Mini Pocket Sport: Yoga wraps a pocket-sized fountain pen in a full-body illustration built entirely around stillness and stretch. A soft mandala pattern in dusty blue and lavender opens the design at the cap, "Yoga" lettered across it in green script, before the scene shifts into a quiet forest scene — a figure caught mid-pose, reaching through green-leafed branches toward a bed of grass at the base of the barrel. It's part of Opus 88's Mini Sports Collection, alongside companion editions for baseball and basketball, each celebrating a different way of moving through the world.

Design & Construction

The Mini Pocket's proportions are built for portability first: capped, the pen measures approximately 117.3 mm; the body alone is approximately 107.7 mm, with the cap adding approximately 49.5 mm. Body diameter is approximately 14.5 mm, cap diameter approximately 14.7 mm, and grip diameter approximately 11.7 mm — small enough to disappear into a pocket or pencil case, while still comfortable to write with. The Mini keeps the same chunky, substantial feel as Opus 88's full-size pens, just scaled down. A polished chrome clip and matching trim complete the design.

Eyedropper Filling System & Shut-Off Valve

Despite its compact size, the Sport: Yoga holds a generous volume of ink through Opus 88's signature Japanese-style eyedropper system with an integrated shut-off valve. To fill, unscrew the grip section, use the included glass eyedropper to draw ink, and deposit it into the barrel — leaving a little room for air pressure helps prevent leaks. Before writing, unscrew the blind cap at the end of the barrel to release the internal shut-off mechanism and allow ink to flow to the nib; retighten it before travel to seal the ink chamber, reassuring for a pen that's likely to live in a gym bag or a pocket.

The Sport: Yoga is fitted with a #5 JoWo stainless steel nib, available in:

• Extra Fine (EF) — a precise, controlled line for small handwriting
• Fine (F) — the most versatile everyday width
• Medium (M) — broader and wetter, good for shading inks
• Broad (B) — a bold, generous line
• 1.4 mm Stub — an italic-style grind adding crisp line variation to every stroke
