This is a replacement nib for the Teranishi Guitar Aurora glass dip pen with cap. Made in Japan from hard glass, with fine vertical grooves that hold ink and a black threaded connector, it lets you refresh a chipped or worn tip without buying a whole new pen.

Glass is durable, but the tip can chip if it knocks against a bottle neck or a hard desk. A spare nib also lets you keep one tip for shimmer inks and another for everyday dye inks, so colours stay clean between sessions.

How to Fit and Care for the Nib

Unscrew the old nib by hand, thread the new one in, and tighten until snug, without forcing it. Before first use, rinse the nib in water and dry it with a soft cloth. After writing, rinse again; for shimmer ink particles left in the grooves, use a soft fine brush. Glass is fragile, so store the pen capped and away from hard surfaces.
